Daytime dress

I've been a very slack blogger lately, it's just been so busy lately!

The dress I wore today drew lots of stares while we were out Christmas shopping. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. I did feel a bit... prominent.

I've pretty much gotten all my presents as of today, which is a relief. Hopefully this means I will be around more!

Those must have been good stares! The dress is adorable! I've been tagged with the 'six random things' list and I'm passing it on to you. The rules are posted on my blog. Thanks for all the fantastic vintage-related posts!

I completely love the concept of this blog. And you're a Melbournian too? It's great coming across awesome aussie blogs.
I think this outfit is lovely, I'm sure they were jealous stares of people wishing they could pull it off.

It's beautiful! I'm sure they were stares of admiration. :)

Your dress is adorable! It's very "prairie chic" and I mean that in a very good way!

And thanks for visiting my blog :)

You looked gorgeous - and that's why you commanded so much attention!

PS. Yes I did get the TVOTR tickets - I was surprised at how fast they sold out!

This dress is gorgeous! I know what you mean about getting stares while shopping... every time I start to feel uncomfortable I think of Gala Darling's quote - "People stare. Make it worth their while!"

I love the collar on your dress! You are so lucky to be done with your shopping, I'm kinda starting to get stressed about it.

Oh the stares. It's like a curse for all of us in the blogosphere. Sometimes five minutes in an outfit which was perfectly acceptable in your own home is akin to Chinese water torture when unleashed on the harsh harsh conformist public eyes. You looked wonderful. People stared because you looked different from everyone else. I consider that an achievement ;)

Shannon: thank you!

Brodie: it is isn't it? I live for big outlandish collars

Sarah: hehe, I'd like to think so, but most of them were teenagers wearing identical clothing to one another, so I'm guessing they probably weren't ;)

Lauren: thank you, you have a great store!

Brook: thank you! I'm no good at lists so I'll have to give it a go when I've had time to think :)

Te: there are so many bloggers in Melbourne, it's mind blogging. We are obviously an awesome city.

A cat of impossible colour: thanks!

Elizabeth: thank you, and you're welcome!

Skye: good luck with the rest of your shopping, shopping closer to Christmas gets positively scary!

Miss Karen: ooh I'm really jealous of your TVOTR tix! I'll have to be quicker next time.

Alicia: that is a terrific quote, I'll keep that in mind!

Blair: thank you so much! I love your blog!

Missa: it is quite stressful for something that shouldn't be stressful at all. good luck!

The Paper Doll: thank you !

Ana B: hehe, I'm glad that there is a blogging community full of people who WILL appreciate it.

Lavender: thank you, it's a lot less comfy than it looks, lol
