A whole lot of hoop-la

I can't believe it's been 3 weeks since my last post! So much has happened, I have been run off my feet. We've finally booked round-the-world tickets, and we leave on May the 3rd (eek so soon!) but not before heading up to Arnhemland, NT to do some volunteer work first...

From the country, I've now moved back to my parents' house. Living in my childhood room is strange - it's bursting full of memories, mementoes and old childhood toys. This hoop I unearthed from languishing beneath a pile of old tennis rackets. I used to spend hours on end with this thing, trying to perfect the hula-hoop. It was fun to pull it out again, but needless to say I'm just as bad as ever!

Wow exciting about the world trip, where you going??? Is Japan one of the places?

Anyway thanks for your offer of help with Hachiko. We have him back for the Uni holidays and are trying the training approach rather than a spray collar. When we leave the house we close all the blinds and windows so he doesn't see anyone to bark at and we turn on the radio so that he thinks we are home. So far it is working, he didn't even bark when we came home. Yay!

Such a cute photo collage! I'll have you know that hula hooping happens to be one of my random talents. I can even do three at a time ;)

I can't even imagine how excited you must be about your impending trip!!!

Yay you're back! I love your outfit, such lovely Autumny colours – and is that a lace collar I spy? :)

And a world trip! How exciting! I am intrigued by the volunteer work up north too.

O my goodness! You're going round the world. That's my dream past time. How long are you going for? Where are you going? I'm so envious. Will you be travel blogging?

I always like going back home and ransacking all the old things I've left. You look like you had fun with the hula hoop!

I have always wanted to be able to hoop-la! But alas, i can only manage 3 seconds tops before it hits the floor!
I have only just found your blog! What a fantastic idea, how did your year go? I recently started a blog myself, I'm very new to it all so am gathering lots of inspiration from lovely blogs like yours :)
