Black and tan

Comfortable clothes today, as I was a busy bee running around buying art supplies for a class I'm taking.

I'm lucky to have a stash of my mother's awesome clothes from the '70s and '80s. My mum was, and is still, a very stylish woman - as well as being a hoarder, like me! (this is both a blessing and a curse). So, I have access to great loads of vintage clothes. Problem is, she was a tiny wasp of a thing when she was younger, so most of the things I can fit into were actually her maternity clothes!

I just love the details of this '70s bohemian top.

In a way, it's a nice cycle don't you think? Some of the things I'm wearing now, my mum wore when pregnant with my siblings and I. It's the circle of life, in a clothing sort of way.

Lastly! I worked out what tagging is all about... and it took me long enough. I received a tag last week from the Skye, the lovely belle behind Skylark and Son.

I am supposed to pass this onto more lovely bloggers. I'm still very slow at adding links so I might just link to 4 to begin with.

So.

1) Missa from Thrift Candy, best camping trip pictures around right now!
2) The Paper Doll I've just discovered this one, and I love everything about it!
3) Strike Match because she makes so many things I would never think of, like intricate beading on a red velvet jacket, look so right!
4) And, back to Skye because I also really do love her blog.

The detail on the shirt is so lovely. My mum threw most of her things away from when she was younger (or we destroyed them when they went in the 'dress up' box). I sometimes look at old photos and think.. what if... But it's no use mourning for things you never had.

Thanks so much for the award! It really means a lot.

I love the detail on the shirt! My mum was a teen in the 60s and was clothes-obessed but when she came to Australia in the 80s she gave all her old clothes away *cry* it's such a shame :(

Yay, thankyou for my lovely award!! I wish my mum had kept all her old clothes - she had some amazing ones. You look very cute in this outfit - care free and laid back :)

Oh, thankyou so much! so glad you liked my camping pics, haha!

I wish I had my mom's old clothes from the 60's and 70's, she was a super stylin hippie back in the day! Your mom's top is adorable :)

Mum's closets are the best. Some of my favorite things come from there.

I found you from the award you left on the Paper Doll. I wondered over here, and I think the "buy nothing new" is an amazing concept. I'll try to keep up with your venture!

Strikematch: you're welcome!

Karen: that IS a shame! It just means you have a mission to track down a whole lot more '60s vintage. :)

The Paper Doll: you're welcome! You can actually tag 7 people with this award but I only did 4 because I'm really slow at this blogging thing. It takes me like an hour to do one post.

Missa: aw, hippy stuff is the best!

Lavender: yes, mums are the best, and hoarding mums are even better! I love your style so your mum must be pretty awesome!

Natalie: thank you! I can't believe I've actually made it this far!

Fleur: thank you :)

heartofpearl: I KNOW, it is tiny! My mum used to hate being so skinny, the grass is always greener isn't it, haha.
